Together, they guide our community, shape our events, and keep Milwaukee REIA the go-to hub for real estate investors in Wisconsin.

James Overland

Flipping & Landlording

With over 20 years in business and more than 1,000 transactions under his belt, James brings a wealth of experience to the Milwaukee REIA community. He holds a degree in Finance & Real Estate from UW–Milwaukee and owns and self-manages more than 100 rental units. Having learned both from the streets and the classroom, James approaches investing with curiosity and a beginner’s mindset—always ready to grow and learn.

Jeff Bertrandt

Wholesaling & Dispositions

Real Estate is a second career for Jeff. Jeff was a High School History teacher for over 20 years
before making the jump to Real Estate. Jeff is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and has
his own company Clear Path Appraisals LLC. In that role Jeff has found a niche in appraising investor
flips and also takes on private work. Jeff also works for one of the largest by volume wholesalers in
Wisconsin, 414 Homebuyers, as the Dispositions Manager. If you have bought an off market deal in
Milwaukee in the past few years you most likely have crossed paths with Jeff. Jeff also has his own
company called Jeffco Real Estate Solutions LLC and specializes in off market deals, solving difficult
real estate related problems for investors, can help with tenant problems and much more. Jeff is
happily married with 3 children and is an avid Wisconsin sports fan in his free time and he has the

Christy Librizzi

Landlording & Community

Christy has been hooked on real estate since childhood, when she started helping her parents with home projects. Over the years, she’s gained hands-on experience in property management, rehabbing, project management, and more. A proud Milwaukeean since 1995 and REIA member since 2013, Christy is passionate about building community and making ugly houses pretty again. Outside of real estate, she enjoys the outdoors, live music, traveling, great food, photography, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Heidi Zimmer-Koschnick

Real Estate Solutions Expert

With 30 years of industry experience, Heidi is an expert at navigating creative real estate transactions. She holds both a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker’s License and a Title Intermediary License and has extensive knowledge in short sales, land contracts, lease options, wholesaling, assignments, and flips. Heidi also works closely with private and hard money lenders and is active in networking communities across Wisconsin. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she is also a wife, mom, and grandmother who loves camping and spending time with family.

Keith Washington

Broker & Investor

Keith is the broker and owner of Boardwalk Realty and an experienced investor with hundreds of completed deals. With more than 13 years in real estate, he offers buyers, sellers, and fellow investors the edge they need to navigate a constantly changing market. Always approachable and passionate about helping others succeed, Keith also enjoys traveling, boating, exploring the outdoors, and—most importantly—finding the best cheese curds Wisconsin has to offer.
